LS6 manifold ribs on bottom question
I just received my LS6 manifold today. It is my understanding that I have to grind the bottom to clear my stock vent tubes (my plan). Do I need to grind this completely smooth? Please advise.

you don't have to grind it, just get a flathead screwdriver/chisel and a hammer and pop the ribs off... technically you only need to take the ribs off that are in the path of the crossover pipe but it's easy enough to just knock them all off so the bottom is completely flat and be done with it... it will not affect the structural integrity enough to cause any concern in my opinion, mine is done this way and I have been putting 16 pounds of boost through it for the past few years with no issues
