Default service column lock

When I start the car service column lock appears, it does not shut off or lock up but the message is annoying. Do I have to install a LMC5 kit to clear this problem ?

And when you do, also do the optional Brown Wire procedure found on page 2. Many cars still have message 'Pull Key' appear after installing w/o the Brown Wire procedure. Do it, and it will not appear.
