VaraRam VR-B2 Corvette cold air intake kit
I live in the North East so my cruising days will be ending in about 6-8 weeks and I'm lining up my list of winter projects. So I thought besides replacing the blown out sun visors I'd replace the air intake with something that is going to breathe better. That opened a can a worms!!!! there are SO many choices but I'm kinda leaning toward the VaraRam VR-B2... So I'm asking anyone that has tried it to chime in with their 2 cents. I'm fairly competent with wrenches and it doesn't look any harder that the convertible top I replaced last winter. So if anyone has done the upgrade let me know if it was worth the effort OR if someone has a reason NOT to go this route and has a better suggestion.. just like Ross Perot once said... I'm all ears... Thanks in advance

Some like it for the potential power increase. Others don't due to the very small possibility of hydrolock. I'm in the latter group. The idea of having a chute with no chance for incoming water to escape is not ideal for a DD to me.

I installed a brand new one about 1 month ago...
1.) You will need another person to install - IDK how anyone could install it solo.
2.) I didn't bolt it to the front bumper but did use my factory housing (cut out) to help hold the lose front ducts - works pretty well actually for a snug fit that can flex and move a bit.
3.) Feels faster, butt dyno liked the increase HP above 40mph.
What else is there to know?

I did this a few months ago by myself. Plan on about 4 hours. This a perfect time to clean you radiator thoroughly too.
I really like the look, (I left the decal stickers off). I also feel a slight improvement. If you dont have fog lights, it will be a little more easier. Be sure to buy the power duct with it.
