c5 charge system fault indicator
indicator light comes on DIC sporadically while driving and goes off within 5 seconds. Has been ongoing for months. It could come on once an hour, day, week or month. Came on today after two months. All systems appear to be working fine. Voltage is good, etc. Any idea what the cause is? Alternator replaced a year ago.
Thanks

Put your battery on a Battery Tender and get it to a full charge...that should do it. My 02 did the same thing until I fully charged it and my volts also showed no issue just as yours... If it continues after its fully charged, then its time for a new battery...
PS - Continue to leave it on the tender to see if the DIC message appears.

I have had the same problem and went crazy trying to figure it out. Mine started like yours and eventually the car began to shut off randomly. For some, it's the ground points being a little corroded and losing continuity, for some it's the battery cables/terminals not being properly cleaned and torqued down, and for others still, it's the ecm wires and terminals under the battery tray due to battery acid dripping down and passed the tray. Anyway, after I addressed all this other stuff , it ended up being the ignition switch. That may not be your problem, but keep it in the back of your mind if all else fails.
Let us know how it goes.
