Default Driver seat woes

Hey guys here’s one that has me and everyone stumped... when I purchased my car the driver seat never functioned correctly, when you push the switch down it goes back, push the switch forward it goes back, push the switch diagonal and the telescoping wheel goes in and out! Etc.
took the seat out and discovered a couple wires came out of the BLUE connector and a lot of corrosion inside the pins, cut off old connector to seat AND floor and spliced in a weather pak connector and plugged everything in and it’s STILL not functioning as it should, the weird thing is that the telescoping wheel is working only from seat switch and Not column switch.
I’m wondering if anyone has had this similar problem???? I’m now thinking SCM is bad but I opened it and no signs of corrosion or broken solder
any thing else I should check for???
This one has me stumped!
Any help here would be much appreciated

Replaced driver seat harness AND Scm still doing the same thing, push switch back and it tilts up, push switch down it goes back, push switch up it goes down, I’m at a loss and not sure what else to replace to get this seat to operate correctly 🤷🏻*♂️🤷🏻*♂️

Just a thought... remove the whole module from the passenger seat and plug it into the drivers seat and give it a try. That should at least let you know if its the control board or not.....

Have you used the DIC to run the On Board Diagnostics to see if there are any seat codes set? These don't light any lights on the dash and the only way you know whether they exist or not is to use a Tech II or the DIC to see them. OBD II scanners are useless with these types of codes. If there are codes they may provide a better view of what is wrong. Poor connections are a great place to start but you still need to check for codes.

Also check wires inside the door bellows to see if there any issues with them.

Bill

initially the blue connector for telescoping under the seat had a lot of corrosion and wires pulled out of it, I replaced it with a weather pac connector, then when that didn’t work I replaced the scm and seat harness, same thing.
check #4 and 35 fuses, they are good.
not sure what else to check but the original culprit was the connector under the seat.
Now that that’s all repaired maybe I need to disconnect the battery for awhile to reset everything??

With the seat functioning like that you probably have codes set.

It sounds like the motor wires are crossed up in the plug under the seat. Have you checked the motor wires to be sure they match the pin out of the plug?
