Best power steering rack and PS pump?
I may be looking at getting a new PS pump do to, I think, over working it. I’m using a sequential blower so there will be added strain on the pump. Any suggestions on a good pump and really goood power steering rack. Oh, the c5 is a 99, no magnetic ride.
The rack is no where as important an issue as the pump.
Thanks for for the input ahead of time.

Me too
Move been looking at “Turn One,” too. They seem to be the go to. I just am having a hard time getting over the refab, remanufactured comments. I’m always Leary of that.

Drifting
Is the rack leaking, squealing, loose? Is the pump leaking, squealing, putting metal in the fluid?
I just had a Turn One pump installed in my car. I opted to go with their aftermarket unit (specced for 1800 PSI instead of 1500) plus the pulley. Feels great. They told me it'd have extra steering effort at idle but I have not noticed this to be the case. If my steering rack needs to be pulled - a high likelihood but not confirmed so probably not gonna do it until it needs doing - then I will have them rebuild it as well. It seems to be the best option, versus new.
