Default Oil leak

I have an oil leak dripping off of the drivers side front suspension cross brace. Its not coming off of the oil filter or rear main/trans area. As I look at the top of the engine it appears to be wet near the intake manifold at the front . On my older C4 I had a top motor leak that is common on the 1994 LT1 which required resealing the intake manifold with The Right Stuff.

Besides the oil pressure sending unit and rear main seal plate and oil cooler block off plate area ( the same issues my 1999 GMC Sierra 5.3 LS motor had) what other areas could leaks come from?

Considering the location, I doubt it’s anything on the year half of the motor that’s leaking. Front main seal/timing cover could be a possibility. Also, have you made sure it isn’t power steering fluid since that’s right where the two hard line connections to the steering box are?

Default oil leak

Thank you for your reply. I will get the car(front) up off the ground tonight after work and take a closer look.. This was a quick snap with the cell phone in between my daughtes soft ball games in the parking lot of the field. I noticed the burning oil smell and noticed the quarter sized drips..

I'd confirm it was oil first. That looks identical to when my rack boot was torn and leaking.

Yes, it could either be a power steering hose or a seal in the rack that is pissing out the boot.
Unless the car was pitched and oil from front seal behind HB is flowing to driver side
