99 corvette Traction Control System
When driving, traction control system turns off and back on without pressing switch on center console. Most of the time it occurs when I apply the brakes. Pr0blem is intermittent. Once up to highway speed, TCS will normally stay on. DTC B2597 Traction Control System Circuit Switch, There are a few other codes but unrelated to TCS. I unplugged switch and TCS did not shut off when brake applied. If I leave switch disconnected, does TCS remain functional? Any suggestions on what else might be the problem? .

The TCS switch is just a momentary so yes if you leave it disconnected the only difference will be you can't disable traction control. It's automatically enabled every time you start the car. Clearly there's a wiring problem somewhere or a problem with the switch itself.

Update. Removed switch from console and disassembled. Circuit board had light corrosion on switch contact points. Cleaned with fine grit sandpaper and reassembled. Also cleaned entire circuit board with q-tip and alcohol. Looks like a soft drink may have been spilled on switch before. Traction control issues resolved.
