Default Modded Z06 Question

So I just purchased a modded (albeit slightly beat up) 2002 Z06. Seller said it has:
  • AFR 205 heads
  • LG-G5X3 cam
  • LG long tube headers
  • LG cat delete
  • K&N intake
and was dynoed at 450 whp.

I am pretty new to the modding/LS community, and this will be my first car that I will be lightly restoring/modifying/messing around with. So I do have a few questions:
  1. Would these modifications add up to roughly 450 whp? I am taking the seller's word for it as I never saw a dyno sheet.
  2. What would the next steps be in terms of performance? (after making her a little prettier) I am thinking probably a FAST LSXR intake and fuel rails.
Thanks in advance!

Fast Intake, LS2 throttle body, and larger injectors would definitely get you some HP. It comes down to is $1k plus worth another 10 or 15 rwhp. A different cam and a supercharger could get you near 600 rwhp. Your current setup could very well be at 450 rwhp for sure. If you know where he had it dyno tuned they will likely still have the dyno sheet also.

Sounds like a fun setup! I'm in a similar situation...bought a well modded C5Z with similar mods (except it also has an LS3 6.2L block), and it made 493/463. I'm right on that magic 500 and considering a few tweaks just so I can say I got it past that magic 500 number.

I didn't want to spend much, and it's *super* close...so my thoughts were the following:
- A good open intake (it has a stock airbox with a K&N)...maybe $150 with some DIY tweaks
- An open axle-back exhaust (it has the stock chambered mufflers in back)...the cheapo DNA axle back has straight-thru mufflers for $280
- And this one, which MIGHT apply to you...this car was originally tuned for 91 octane, and I run 94-95 via Torco Accelerator. I want to have it re-tuned for the higher octane, and I suspect this will provide the most gain.

...with all 3 of those, I expect to reach 500-520whp.
