Trailer Hitch....
I purchased a Curt hitch for the car. Have yet to install it. This is my question. According to the instructions and handy-dandy youtube video, it entails drilling a couple holes in the frame and using a fish wire to pull the bolts through. It also shows drilling an additional hole to fish the backing plate for the bolts furthest aft. Anyone who has installed this critter taken the bumper facia off and fished the backing plates from there? I'm not super thrilled about drilling tow extra holes in the frame, and would it materially weaken the frame? Still on the fence about the hitch. Would be used primarily for bikes. TIA -- Leroy
nd the fish wire. The fish wire actually works pretty good, but even though the bolts are carriage bolts, you will still have to hold them when starting the nuts
