So....researched about hazard switch while I have the dash apart to replace actuators.
but NO ONE has the AC/Delco 10359036 part. A few videos say it’s $20 on Amazon. But it’s not available there or AutoZone, Advanced Auto or O’Reilleys. I read how the Dormans often fail rapidly so I want the Delco.
two had the dash apart for HVAC actuators and Hud repair, one with the bezel and radio out, can take the top dash off in less than 15 minutes, the easy way IMO !!!
So what’s the deal with these flashers? Mine’s broke, thought I damaged when doing my double-din install. Now I see several posts about this topic... is this more electronics failure with GM crap?
I’m replacing actuators right now and can’t fit them into the heater box shafts.
What’s the trick to adjust temperature to get them to match up?

That’s what Im out here trying but it seems they’re not quite able to fit. Just off and the gears don’t turn on the actuators to line them up. Unless mine were set out of spec.
The drivers goes upside down—the opposite of the passenger side?

I’ll put this on my original post about my frustration with the actuator replacement. After many nights of trying, I was about to give up. I turned on the key, adjusted the HVAC, turned the box shaft manually. Nothing.
Then I realized I should probably check the codes. When I did, the actuators turned and matched perfectly to the heater box shaft. Hallelujah!

you cant believe that electrical systems of these cars has come anywhere close to standing up to ANY reasonable expectation of durability. For something that never gets used, and the frequency I’m seeing this on the forum, I think this is a symptom of larger quality control issues with GM. But, the car sure is a lot of fun to drive!!!

Actually, it is used quite a bit!!! Every time you use the 4-ways, or your turn signals, or the lane change feature, that switch is being used. As Ed Ramberger said, it lasted 20 years...

doesn’t change the fact that the electrical demons in this car are a hella lot higher than any other car I’ve been familiar with.
Have you tried Rockauto????
There is another way!!!! If you can't find the parts and not hard to do....there is an article on here that explains how to by-pass the hazard switch) with an old fashioned
blinker/hazard relay....
Maybe someone here has the info ?

Maybe because these cars are loaded with electronics as opposed to the typical car you could afford 20 years ago or have probably been tooling around in. But to be fair, what are you comparing it to?
ABS sensor
pull key wait ten seconds
active handing warming up and up and up
column lock (that GM tried at least 2 times to fix and never did)
”XYZ” doesn’t work - Did you check your grounds??
Bill Curlee has his own electric problem thread
i’ve had all of them, as well as other cars in the family that GM service can’t find the reason...
As the ACDelco original seems to be non existent, those who've used the Dorman, any issues? I take Amazon reviews with a grain of salt. I prefer to ask those with brains lol. Some said that the signaling is delayed from signaling with the turn stalk, or that the "click" noise with the turn signal is softer than OEM. Any truth to these very odd claims?
