4L60E 2-3 shift valve stuck
Have my tranny pan dropped for a cracked 1-2 accumulator repair and thought I'd take a look at a few of the valves. Everything seemed fine until I tried to remove the 2-3 shift valve out of it's bore. The 2-3 shuttle valve which is directly behind the B solenoid came right out while the 2-3 shift valve did not. It moves maybe 1/2" forward and back but seems to get hung up. I have tried W-D 40 and working it back and forth repeatedly. A bit of brake cleaner in case the was some varnish built up but to no avail. And it seems to hang up at the same spot every time regardless of how much force I apply (tiny screwdrivers, dentist pick, etc). I'm starting to think there may be a burr that it is hitting. I've had no problem related to that valve so I don't know if I should just close it up as is or work on finding out why it's not coming out of it's bore. Thoughts?
