Default exersizing abs on 99 c5

how often would you recommend exercising the abs pump, any thoughts would be appreciated, got codes c1243h and c1255h , exercised abs and luckily they cleared . i tested abs by jacking rear of car up putting in gear and bringing it up to approx 10mph, and pump came on.

How do you do it - same way on jackstands? If so, could either of you expand on the process?

Thanks!

When changing oil my front tires are on ramps, so jack up the rear and start the car, in first gear just let it idle and it will activate the pump. Let it idle long enough for pump to activate several times.
I also use concrete blocks with 2x6 on the rear instead of jack stands.

I do it about 4 times a year. Once a quarter. I don't drive enough anymore to use the oil change frequency but sometime during each 3 month period I have it up in the air for something.

I have found that if you simply turn the ignition switch on and do not start the car, the brakes will bleed just fine.
