After only 6 months on the car, one of weld to the small air tube is already broken. I have being hearing some tapping noise two months ago and thought it was bad lifter or bent pushrods. Nope it was the broken air tube and it's shooting out flams :mad :mad :mad
I found that out when we did the heads swap. I found a great group of F-body club guys who does some cheap work. How does $350 sound for a cam swap? Or $450 for my heads swap

Sorry to hear that. I'm curious if there were any symptoms besides the tapping noise? I put Stainless Works headers on my car a few months back, and then put in a cam a little while after that. For the last few weeks, I've heard a tapping noise, plus the car knocks if I go WOT, and idles a little rougher than it did immediately after the cam. The exhaust seems louder, but I don't know if I'm imagining it. My girlfriend says she smells exhaust inside the car, but I've had a head cold and I really don't notice it.
I guess I should look at the headers more closely. If that checks out, then I'll pull the valve covers again (I did once to check for a broken spring, but all were fine), and check the pushrods.
Header leaks of one sort or another are infamous. Though I've a garage full of modifieds, there's still something to be said for a stock car, huh? :yesnod:
