Default Where can I get a EMCB module

Where do I get my ECUB module fixed or where can I get a new one?

What do EMCB & ECUB mean?
If you're asking about the electronic brake control module- 2000 and older, no one can repair them and junkyards are the only source. 2001 and newer G7 computers or ABSfixer.com are probably the most common repair options.
There is also a thread about converting from the old system to the newer one.

I’m in the same boat, just got the dreaded “service ABS & traction control” lights! I guess it’s time to start scrounging junkyards!
it’s frustrating that GM hasn’t stepped up and offered some help.

There are only used units now, and you have to be sure you look for the right one. Very early cars have a unit mounted in the back of the car — not sure if there are multiple variants of that unit, but middle user cars have non-repairable units in the engine compartment, with two variants, M code and V code. Later years are also front mounted and are sometimes repaired. I am not sure on the later car variants.

There are ways to fix the early EBCM if the faulty part is on the top board. This has been beat to death. The bottom board is the issue. You can search on which codes are fixable. I have a Model V control module laying around from a former car. The orginal owner gave me a lot of spare parts....If anyone is close to NJ and wants to see if it works on your car let me know..If it works for you then I will sell for $450. I currently have two C5s but neither can use this part as one has Model M and the other is a 2001....Just an option for anyone out there where you can save a few bucks...

Honestly, I think 1255 is the kiss of death from what I recall. A simple search on this forum for that code should provide a lot of answers

That seems to be the case, I guess the only alternative is to source a used one and hope it’s good!

Which also means, no single wheel brake lock-ups due to a yaw sensor malfunction! Glad mine is an M. lol

How do you know if you have a M code or V. I have a 2000 M6.

It will be labeled on the top of the unit. I just ordered one from a recycle yard, $1,7500.00!! If it goes bad again, I’ll just drive the car with no ABS of traction control. It’s too bad no one can repair, or remanufacture these.
Maybe it’s time to go to a C6 ZO6 !

Is there a way to make the ABS light go away if you can’t get a replacement by disconnecting something so it’s not on all the time. Never had it on old cars and don’t really need it on this one.

In front of the engine on the driver side, look down and see the mass of brake lines under the alternator.

There are tons of videos on youtube-go there and search C5 ECBM removal. Watch the video's. You'll need a T25 long bit if I remember correctly as the screws that hold it onto the main brake unit are recessed somewhat.

C1255 indicates an internal malfunction in the Electronic Brake Control Module (EBCM) which is a fatal error whether you have the 2001-2004 version or the 2000 and before version. EBCM requires replacement and nobody is capable of fixing the module.
