1998 C5 Engine dies @25mph

1998 C5 Engine dies @25mph
Hi everyone,
A friend and I are trying to figure out his C5. The engine starts and runs fine. In park the car can be revved to the moon. However, in any drive gear (including reverse) the engine dies @ 25 mph. In drive it dies. In the lower gears it, I guess, bounces on and off @ 25mph. He changed the oil pressure sensor because the gage was intermittent. That did not help. I cleaned the key with no change.
We are kind of stuck. There are no codes or warning lights on the dash.
Any advice is welcome. And thank you in advance.

I am the car owner, and I am not sure it’s cutting fuel. One thing I noticed today after it shutting off a few times it was having a harder time starting unless I help my foot to the floor (shutting off injectors I believe), then it would fire up fine. Almost acted like it was getting flooded.
being a DBW car, could it be a throttle body or pedal issue?
Also, be engine light or codes.
