heater by-pass 97 base
installed the heater by-pass Sunday and was wondering if this modification would kick a code or mess with the HVAC in any way. what do you think? thanks

thanks for the reply G Loc. I used one of the kits that has the brass adapters and the curved hose. one of the adapters is too big for the Vette hose. you probably know about the odd ball sizes on the heater hoses. I used my heat gun to warm up the hose then slipped it onto the brass adapter. I think both of the smaller adapters (5/8) will work on both hoses. this fall I'll look into it better. was a really tight fit on the pump to heater line. looks like they all come with a 5/8 to 5/8 and a 5/8 to 3/4 adapters.

Ah gotcha. I bypassed mine using a molded 5/8" hose from the water pump to the expansion tank which made for a cleaner install. If you're going to keep it bypassed for the long run and want to simplify things a bit, check out my thread: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...re-bypass.html
