I'm toying with the 4.10 myself. 3.90's are probably a better choice if you're spraying or plan on adding a SC later.
I understand the 4.10's give a SOTP of ~70 RWHP.

I've had my 3.90's for a few months and it is so much fun! Just be prepared to spend extra $ for tries :) Besides hard acceleration, it's so much easier to drive around town, you get virtually no "marbles in the can" when getting out of first gear. It's great!

I like my 4.10's but agree that with NOS or a lot more horsepower I'm not sure how effective they'd be. But in my case, they're a kick in the pants and a ton of fun.
