Hey everyone, new on here. Today I tried to remove my stock 04 Z06 passenger side exhaust manifold so I could wrap the starter in a heat shield. I got stuck on 2 parts, the first was separating the exhaust manifold from the block, even though I was able to get all the bolts out of it. I sprayed PB Blaster and left it for the night.
The second issue I'm having a hard time with is unclipping the blue lock on the O2 sensor harness for the passenger side manifold. The car's lifted just enough for me to slide underneath on a creeper and I'm afraid if I twist any of the wires too drastically they could break due to age.

Thank you all for the help and for the time!
You might be tring to remove the wrong part of the connector.

I've done this numerous times om the three C-5s I owned. I've never had a problem with separating the exhaust manifold from the head once all of the fastener have been removed. I would check to make sure all of the fasteners are out. Another possibility is a previous owner used a Permatex or similar hardening sealant to compensate for a poor or damaged gasket sealing surface.
