how high can it go?
have a friend that has a 93 solid roller vette, considering putting together a solid roller ls1 motor. question is, can the stock computer run to say 8000 rpms. on the 96 and under cars, the maps end at 7200, like hitting a rev limiter, so how high has anyone pushed the stock 97 up computer. thanks, joe

David Farmer's car runs 7500 Rpm. If you mod the LS1 engine correctly you can have all the HP you can handle at 6,000... why would you want to go past 7200? Going to Road race the car?

You can spin them to 8000+ RPM. Build the engine good and you should not have a problem. The maps in the computer only go to 8000, but the computer will carry any info forward from there.
He who shifts last... WINS!!! Gotta love solid roller stuff. I have 3 solid roller LT1 engines in the shop now... I sure could use an LS1.... ;)
