Any problems blocking off the AIR/emissions check system?
After getting C1416 codes for a while, and noticing that my TPIS headers have cracks in the joints where the small AIR/Emissions tubes come off the primaries (every one has either a crack in the jet hot coating or actual crack in the metal) I'm going to have the small tubes all cut off, and have the holes patched and smoothed in. I will also block off the main AIR tube, remove all the lines, and the air pump.
Planning to use LS1 Edit to remove all of the AIR - related codes from the PCM.
Anyone done this - will it cause any problems? My understanding is the AIR system is just a check on start up, and won't effect the vehicle operation. Since I still have the cats in place there should not be any more emissions produced. I live in Kansas, there is currently no emissions inspections. Thanks.

When I had my car tuned I had the edit remove the pump alarm so after headers this weekend (no tubes) I will be where you are headed. Tuner says no problem.
