I am in process of ordering a FLP trans for my car and they are really against the Yank SY3000 with this trans. THey are recommending the Vigilante 3200. Any one running the FLP trans with a Yank? Any problems? I already have the Yank and don't want to sell it, I just bought it! But they know what works in there trans, right? Any help would be appreciated! :banghead:
Re: Yank convertor with FLP level 4 trans? (Mean Green 2000)
No, they really did not say why. They mentioned reliability? Yank seems to have a great reputation on this forum, thats why I bought it! I am almost willing to believe it is because they only sell Vigalante? Thanks for the response.

:iagree: Nothing wrong with Yank, & I'm sure the transmission does not know the differance between Yank & Vigalante. Their both good, but like you I bought the Yank & I'm very satisfied. Just my .02
Re: Yank convertor with FLP level 4 trans? (clancy)
The only sense I can make of this is based off a thread here on the forum that mentioned Yank doesnt recommend a Trans Go ( or similar ) shift kit with their convertor. FLP uses a Trans Go in the level 4.

Thanks every one for the input! Just for the record.......... I am in no way discrediting Yank, Vigilante or FLP. I am 100% using FLP and the Yank. Just want to make sure I am not alone in this!
Re: Yank convertor with FLP level 4 trans? (2000^C5)
That is true about many people running Yanks with FLP level 4 transmissions and that is fine, it's your choice. But IMO and that is mine, so I'm not bashing here, I like the Precision Industries converters better because of their engineering, parts, workmanship, pricing, quality control, converter clutch lining, etc... most of all my experience with their product verses any other converter for that matter, but again that's my opinion. And it is the only converter I choose to sell and will continue only to sell because of my knowledge and experience with other converter manufactures. I hope this clears up the reason why we recommend and we are just recommending not telling anyone to buy A or B or C, that's your choice.

FLP - Thanks for jumping in and helping us out. If would blown my a4 before I purchased a convertor, I would definately take your advise, just can't afford to loose any more money on reselling new parts. I'll be calling you guys next week for the trans.
