What should the Normal Battery Voltage range be on a C5 ???
Before I washed the motor my Battery Voltage was a strong 14 V's.. Now it's hovering around 13 V's.
I've had no problems starting my car but I'm concerned that it might be a potential problem in the future.
Should I change my Alternator ?? The battery is only 6 months old..Its an OPTIMA RED TOP.

Washed motor? Maybe your belt's wet and slipping a bit?

No Codes and the belts are dry :confused:
I wonder if I damaged the Alternator when I washed my motor ?? I thought all the components were water proof.

My original '98 has been charging from 13.0 to 13.7, when hot 13.2 , and it is over 5 years old.

Ok guys I'm new to the site and my voltage usually stays in the 13's but here latley I am seeing some twelves and elevens on dic I work for GM and battery is about three months old and Idk I don't think this is right any help is greatly appreciated
