Found Tach signal wire under drivers side of dash <BIG PICS>
#44
Update: I just did this and it worked perfectly.
Power and ground were tapped into accessory plug on passenger side by the PCM. Tach was taken from the white wire near the gauge cluster, but on my car, I had two "bone" white and one "pure" white. I guessed the oddball was the tach signal, and I was right. The "Pure"white wire was also marginally thicker.
Car for reference is a 2002 6 speed coupe (not Z06)

I just installed a Raptor Shift Light in my 03 zo6
in my car I had a total of 4 white wires one was a little thicker (was not it) it was one out of the Three small wires witch I thought I had a bad light until I found the 4th white wire (yup the last one I found)
hope this help some one else!

no one??
I have spent the last 3 hours looking for the wires and I have no point of reference so I am going in blind. I can't get to the PCM because of where the car is and I can't move the car because I just had surgery on my left leg. any help would be greatly appreciated.

I found it thank you. All of them were the same white. It is the wire more buried in the harness. At least mine was.

Just wanted to bump this, my tac wire was also a more darker shade of white like a bone white not bright white like the OP said. Also touching the wire with my ground probe did make the tac needle jump to verify it was the correct wire... Also told me to check my charging system to for some reason when I grounded the tac wire lol went away with a key cycle. Anyways thanks for making my shift light install a super quick process!

I have a 02 corvette and i can't seem to find this wire.
I didn't want to pull the wheel and run a wire from outside for my shift light, so I did some research in the service manual and found a better closer place to connect.
Here are some pictures. Hope these help someone!!
Remove bottom of dash
IC plug that this harness feeds. You can see in the pic of the plug what all the other wires do
This is the harness that the wire is in
A look at all the wires in the harness
Here the wire is isolated from the rest
A close up of the White tach signal wire. there are 3 small 18g white wires, but I noticed that the one that we need is a little bit off white (like bone white?... they may not all be like that

I can't seem to find this wire. Ive put 3 t tap connectors over all 3 18gauge white wires plus the 16 guage white wire and only one does like a flicker with the numbers on my tach, but it mostly stays at 0 and doesn't do anything. I dont know what else to do.

did you use t tap connections or did you just splice the wire? i have put 3 t tap connectors on all 3 18guage white wires and one flickers my numbers but stays on 0 unless i jiggle the wire and then it shows random numbers. I have a shift light that has a digital tach readout in the middle of it.
