Muffler Bypass mod - question
Does installing the Muffler Bypass mod lose any HP or Torque.
I have heard that you could lose low end torque with this mod, is there any truth to that?

The concensus regarding the A&A muffler bypass is that there is no gain in HP or torque, only a gain in db over 2000 rpm. I would think there would be no loss in HP and torque also. There seems to be an opinion that drastically reducing the exhaust back pressure in a street engine will hurt performance. This would be a good point of discussion, about which I would like to hear some theories and see some test results from those that support this opinion. :cheers:

I just changed my stingers with Z06 exhausts. I definately noticed that the car has a little more low end grunt. After I installed the cam with the stingers, the car was easy to stall withou enough gas when moving. After switching the exhausts, I was amazed at how stock the car feels and sounds. The downside is that it feels to have lost power in the high rpms :sad:
