CARTEK RULES....Xpackage H/C goes 10.87@127.53 with broken trans.
Well the air was the best all year tonight so I figured I had to get out to the track. My first pass was horrible. I think almost everything that could have went wrong did go wrong. I left traction control on and got caught up shifting to 3rd and was breaking loose the whole way down the track. I ended up with an 11.48@122. The next run was way worse. I wasnt in the grove at all and headed right towards the wall and then just got out of it. After that run a track employee told me how they have cones that prevent the street tire cars from getting into the grove and that he would move them over for me so I could line up better. Well I got a lot more traction this time. A 1.46 60ft. on ET streets and I was on my way to a new personal best of 10.87@127.53mph. After the run, Brent was there to congratulate me on a new best and he looked so happy you would have thought he just ran a new best too. In his words;"Dude that was awesome", and yes it was pretty awesome. That 1.46 60ft. smashed my head against the seat. Needless to say I was very excited at this point especially with the 127.53mph. I was very happy seeing the car making that much power cause I know I will have 10.7s for sure once I have my tranny rebuilt and get the shifting down a little better. The car shifted fine for the 1-2 shift but I am losing a little time on the 2-3 which is very stiff and the 3-4 is major grinding. I hope to get this taken care of soon so I can have a better shot at the heads and cam record(I better hurry up too cause Brent is gonna be back soon with updates and Im sure his will be faster) I did manage to get one more run in but I was way to excited to concentrate on my driving. I didnt get as well into the grove as I should have and I left the line at 6200rpms by mistake but still got a 1.49 60ft spinning the tires. It got a little squirly after that and I was swerving back and forth and got a little caught up in 4th but still had a 10.94@127.38mph.
Thanks CARTEK for building one very powerful heads and cam car...can you believe that, 127.53mph and the air is still going to get better. Thanks to Brent also for his help on what to do and how to line up. I never ran a 10 before when brent was at the track so I thought he was jinxing me but Im glad I got that out of the way now. 10s from here on out. Here is the breakdown of the slip
60ft. 1.46
330' 4.493
1/8 6.963
mph 100.25
990' 9.035
1/4 10.87
mph 127.53
Im still so pumped up from this and I know this wasnt my best pass in terms of shifting either. Its only gonna go lower from here on out. Oh and that was only my 37th pass on the car since I got this setup and about half of them were crap where I either spun of missed a gear so with a little more experience I hope I will be able to get every last hundreth out of the car.

Whew.. nice driving!
Once my bank account gets a little better, I'd love to put some ET drags on it and drop the clutch as high as you do!
How long do you think the rear will hold up dropping the clutch over 5000? 1 season of racing? 2?
That much be alot of fun! :auto:

Joe I dont know u yet but have always read and liked your posts.I have a REVII going back into my T/A in about 3 weeks and I cant wait(Had bad rings and we needed to fix the shortblock),anyway I just wanted to congratulate u on such an amazing ET and MPH.
The Cartek S2X REVII setup is amazing..
Julio and Dave should be very proud of this setup as its now being duplicated in car after car.I am totally impressed with my setup and feel very confident that I have a good shot at running with u Vette boys even though I'm alittle heavier.
Julio/Dave u guys are amazing,I cant believe this car ran 127MPH
I am in shock,Keep up the good work

explain the 3-4 grinding that you are having at WOT as my car does the same thing at the track. Around town everything is fine and you would never know that the 3-4 shift was a problem. It should be the easiest shift at the track but always gives me the most grief and would love to know what the best fix is for this grinding. Thanks for any info.

Must be nice to have a C5 with heads/cam. So far, I have run a 12.0 at 121 in my 93 /hotcam/headers/ported heads/100 shot nitrous/6m/drag radials. (11's are easily achievable)
Just do me one favor, beat as many of those crotch bikes as possible. You are almost there.
