HELP!!!ERATIC FUEL GUAGE AND CODE1341
MY CAR DISPLAYED A CODE1514 BECAUSE I INSTALLED A S/C I WIDEN THE AIR DENSITY BAND N EVERYTHING IS FINE.SO I FILLED UP WITH GAS NOW MY GAS NEEDLE IS SHOWING EMPTY WHEN ITS FULL,OR FULL AFTER IT HAS BEEN DRIVEN OVER 150 MILES.WHEN ITS PARKED FOR A FEW HOURS THEN RESTARTED IT WORKS FINE THEN GET IRRATIC AGAIN.......HAS ANYONE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE.IF SO WHAT IS THE FIX?????

Since you have an 03, I assume that the PCM reflash was in your car, however there was an update last June for this problem so depending on when you got your car it may not have it. Quickest fix is to try a different brand of gas. Sunoco seems to be one of the ones to avoid according to my primitive research.

THE LOCAL DEALER SAID THAT IF HE RE-FLASHES IT I WILL LOOSE THE LSI EDITH.IS THERE ANOTHER FIX,WITHOUT RE-FLASHING THE COMPUTER?

if your car has the ffs fuel system[feedback fuel system],your car doesn't get flashed.the ffs system is a different fuel system.my car is a 03 zo6,built march o3.it has ffs and my car went down 12 hours after i got it[gas gauge flat lined].i had 1431 stored but my problm wasn't the fuel senders.my car had a problem with the venturi section[it didn't transfer fuel from the right tank to the left tank,causing the car to run out of fuel].dealer was great.they got gm powertrain involved because my car was one of he first cars built with the ffs system.the non-ffs cars have the old fuel system,with the old style senders.systems are similar,but not identical.

My fuel gauge went from 1/4 tank to nothing three different times.I was told to try a fuel additive called Techron, sold at wallmart,around 6 bucks a bottle.I ran 1 & 1/2 bottles to a full tank of gas for three different tank fulls.I also started running Sunoco 94 octane gas and my fuel gauge has been fine.
