Simple enough to test, but does anyone know if your car is running in park, and you pull the E-brake, does that turn off the DRL's??
Nope. DRL's stay on...
I was wondering why, like with the Powerloader, Hypertech, Predator etc, they INSIST that the parking brake be engaged when the car is in park & on a level surface??
I thought it might have something with the e-brake shutting off the drl's, as an amperage draw.
But just went & did it, drl's stay on with e-brake..

Maybe they say this so your headlights won't come on accidentally when twilight sentinal is set? The E-Brake will keep the headlights off.
With the ignition off (key in the off position) pull up on the e-brake. Then when you start the car the DRLs will be off. Release the e-brake the DRLs come on. If you engage the e-brake with the ignition already on it does not turn off the DRLs. Only when you follow the above sequence will the DRLS be off until the e-brake is released. Following the above sequence just makes sure to minimize the power drain on the system when you are programming with the Predator or Hypertech. It is important to have the proper voltage on the system when using the programmers.
