Default which head and cam pkg???

narrowed it down to 3 choices:

1. a&a stage 2 ls1 w/224 cam (new)
2. tsp patriot ls6/lq9 stage 2 w/231??cam (new)
3. cartek stage 2 ls1 w/ H cam (USED)

andy at AA does great work; patriot h/c pkg is all i've been hearing about with the lq9 heads being a great bang for the buck; cartek has some of the fastest vettes on the east coast. All pkgs go for around $2200 and yeild about 400rwhp. all i want is to have bragging rights for going high 10's w/150 nos and h/c. any and all opinons and info is reallyl appreciated. my car is a a4 with all the bolt on goodies on a stock motor. would like to remain somewhat streetable. thanks

#3 is the set-up i have had for a LONG time now but really outdated

never a problem though

see sig movie for a nice 11.5 run and see what it can do.
cam only cars are running just as strong but i really have to say that this has been a very reliable set-up for me for quite some time

I'm going with Cartek. After talking with Dave Busch and seeing the shop, I feel very comfortable with those guys working on my engine and I'm pretty fussy. I'm leaning towards stage 2 X with LS6 heads with long tubes, injectors, and Z06 Ti exhaust. Not sure on the Cam though at this time. I would like to put the car at about 415 to 450 rear wheel. I won't mind sacrificing a little hp for a better idle. Down the road I would like to add a turbo or a super charger as well.

Dollar for dollar the performance you get for your $ the Patriot and TSP 231/217 cam for less than 2,500.00 is the cats azz in my honest opinion and pretty tuff to pass up, especially since that combo just made 467rwhp on one of the forum members frc recently posted about a couple of days ago!!!
