Hey guys, ive got a little bit of money saved up (only 600 right now) and im looking for a good cam. I have no clue anything about a cam, I want the best bang for the buck - something that will give me noticable gains.
I know there are like... 225/228 or something, but what do the numbers mean?
I drive a 1999 FRC Manual and my mods are: BM Shortshift & Vararam VR-1b

Re: I need a cam! (I Owned U)
many, many awesome cam only set up offered in the LS1 world right now that will give you an increase of around 50 to 60 rwhp with headers and tuning. I would call a cam expert like Allen Futral of Futral Motorsports, or MTI, or ThunderRacing, or Texas Speed and Performance, etc. etc. and get their advice for what they recommend and find an awesome local tuner who you can trust 1000% to do the install and tune and you will be one happy man as a good cam REALLY WAKES THESE LS1 MOTORS UP!!!! :chevy :steering:
Also, try internal performance mod section for research on many cam on ls1tech.com where the hardcore ls1 crowd (mostly f-body) hang out and talk cams 24 hours 7 days a wee!
