I have a 2000 coupe and my friend may sell me his polished wheels and tires off his 2003 with only 1600 miles. I know I will need to swap out the sensors. Is all I need to do is break down the 2003 wheels just enough to remove the 2003 sensors and install my 2000 sensors (after breaking down my 2000 tires) in the wheels and put the wheels back on the correct side for the sensor? I will put the 2003 sensore in my painted 2000 wheels and sell them. Sound like a good plan?
I wouldn't call that simple...simple would be just bolting on the wheels and :steering:
But yes, your plan should work just fine. You'll need to buy new O-rings for your 2000 sensors before you mount them in the new wheels though. You can get them at any hardware store or Home Depot, just take one with you once you get the old sensors out and match it up.
The 03 sensors uses a reusable rubber washer instead of O-rings and you can install those sensors into your old wheels as-is.
