Default What's the difference other than 1 CI

What is the difference between a 382 and a 383. Is it just CI or something else. Is one better for FI................I know I am clueless :confused:

Yes it is just 1ci difference the the main difference is how you get there. I believe you get the 382 by stroking stock CI, you get the 383 by boring the block with the stock crank.

Opinions vary, for SC's people think the stoker is the way to go since it will help low end torque before the SC hits full boost. For a Turbo I think I would rather go all bore which will allow you to run it at higher RPM's. You can make up lots of area under the curve if you size your turbo to your desired max RPM. All bore should also allow you to run better heads(bigger valves, more hp with less boost) without shrouding issues.
