Cleaning the key pellet and swaping keys first was good advise. There is a relearn procedure in the service manual that could also help clear our this code and diagnose the issue better. A Tech 2 tool is indicated as required.
B2721 relates to the pass key and low and behold the ignition switch is part of this circuit along with other stuff. Anyway both codes are in the security system.
Also, no problem clearing out your history codes...just record them and see what codes re-appear.
So, I am not sure what you want to do. Is this warranty? Home repair? I guess one could start by cleaning the ignition switch itself or looking for a pinched or broken wire or loose connection.
Perhaps another member can join in about what programming is required if you change the ignition switch.
I'd clear the codes, clean the switch, check the wiring and wait for it to happen again then read the new codes.
If you do not buy a manual, and perhaps a Tech 2 as required, I guess it may be best for the dealer to repair if the codes reset.
Good hunting

Did you also clean the contacts (for the key pellit) that are inside the ignition key slot?
I did try my spare key and it happened once with it...
thanks a lot for your help
The only one that has come back is
P1571 ASR Desired Torque
During the little ride I took after clearing the codes I got on it a little and made the traction control kick in and everything felt normal... what is this code?
