and on a side note a hood seal will help as well...FWIW...the only drawback is when you have water on the hood after washing if you are not careful you can dump a whole lot of water on it ..just make sure the hood is dry before opening

Never had any problems in the worst of rain storms. When talking with Vinci highperformance I was told this is an issue with some of the older setups but the blackwing has no problems.
