Default Help! DTE Differential Strut install in progress

I'm trying to install the DTE diff strut and I ended up with some extra nuts and I'm not sure where they go.

First off, I have no instructions, but did talk to phil and got the basic rundown. I looked at the pictures on their site, but I cannot see enough detail to determine where these nuts go.

I know they either go on the threaded part of the rod connectors or below the ball/hiem joints. If they go below the ball joints, i'm going to be pretty bummed, since I will have to remove what I have done so far and start over. They seem to fit in both locations.

I could just keep going forward and hope it all fits together in the end, but getting this thing in is a big time pain and I don't want to have to do any extra installing/removing.

Please respond if you can help me out. I would like to get this done today.

Also, does the shorter of the two short rods go on the driver’s side? That one is not a big deal, but it would be useful info.

Nevermind. I think I figured it out. 4 of the nuts are reverse threaded, so they pretty much have to be used to lock the rods. I'm glad I don't have to rip anything back out

Yea, jam nuts. That's the word I was looking for. Thanks for the pic.

Anyway, I got it in. That was not exactly a fun install. I opted to keep everything in the car except the exhaust and you could hear quite a bit of moaning and groaning coming from under my car. It has been a while since I had done anything major to my car and I forgot just how tight things are.

It does seem to be a well engineered and machined setup. I’m just hoping she holds together this fall at the track.
