oil pressure reading pegged again

oil pressure reading pegged again
Replaced the sending unit in my 97 about 2 weeks ago,the gauge and DIC were then reading correctly. Changed the oil and filter, took her out for a spin and the pressure was about 15# higher than normal. A couple of days later gauge is reading 80# and DIC is 130. Startup sequence gauge goes up then down, like normal, than pegs with engine off. Just what it was doing before I changed the sender. Defective sending unit? What am I missing here? Free beer
