New C5 Hood Design / Idea - Need help on getting it Manufactured...any ideas?
Hey guys...tried this in general...was suggested I try it here...
Hi everyone,
I have a new hood design in process. I can get a one-off made myself, and think it would be a very popular design.
It would fit magnuson superchargers, and I really believe it would be one of the most popular designs ever introduced.
Now...that's where my current knowledge ends. I need to find someone who can help me manufacture this design, either in Carbon Fiber or Fiberglass. Since the design is nearly done, all that needs done is a mold taken from the original, then replicating new ones.
Of course, I'd sign on to be a forum vendor before selling any here...
So. . .anyone have any contacts to make this a reality?

VIS makes hoods at pretty good prices, and they're pretty high volume in the import market. They sell 2 C5 hoods, and only heard about one of them, but it was good. Between VIS prices ($500), there's poorly made hoods until you get to around $1300, then the good names up there are ACP/corvetteracebodies.com, and whoever makes the Motor City hood. I'm sure Caravaggio is good too, but since I've never heard of someone painting one of their hoods themselves, I guess Caravaggio does all work in-house.
