Does this header have the plastic "bumper" attached to it?

Looks like part of a bumper to me then. If it wasnt part of the bumper it would not be designed like that, the plastic piece would bolt where that big metal bumper is.

Well looks to me like the original build sheet is gonna be almost off limits then. Has anyone here actually removed their bumper to get their builder sheet? Sounds like quite a job.

Build sheets for all cars built at Bowling Green are available from the Nat. Corvette Museum for a small fee.

I wonder if there is some one mechanic or tuner that can just do all the weight reduction stuff for you for a fixed fee?

WOW!! Thats a tough question to answer. Its a very personal decision.

For me,,, the C5 ZO6 trips the passion button. LOVE the FRC.

There really ISN'T a which C5 is better. There all basically the same platform. The ZO6 has its HP & handling pluses but ask my wife and she will tell you the a VERT is the car for her. Any C5 can be modded to out perform a stock ZO6. The FRC is what makes it for me. Ive had a 98 coupe so Ive experienced the coupe. LOTS more luggage room and a targa top. The FRC has its OWN personality.

Find the NEWEST model car that you can find and afford in the body style that (MAKES IT FOR YOU) and purchase it and have FUN!

The best MOD that you can get is driving experience! Lean the cars driving capabilities and limitations before you get too concerned about making it faster and you will be a WHOLE LOT happier with the car.

READ THE OWNERS MANUAL cover to cover and figure out what the car offers. Use this forum for assistance before you allow money hungry dealerships to touch your car! Most often, there a simple self low or no cost fix to correct the issue.

Good luck on finding that right C5.

Research STS & APS Turbo systems. STS is less expensive ,,,, APS is more POWER and $$$$$$$$$$$$.. BOTH are potent!

I considered STS on my 6 Coupe! Great bang for the buck!
