Default 04 z06 front tire wear

Anyone have any knowledge about front inside wear problems? My 04 stock z showing wear .Would factory set them up this way for better handling? thanks Jay

That's why they do it, but factory settings use too much negative camber for most drivers. Up to 1.2 deg. neg. camber will cause severe wear on the inside edge. I backed mine off to about -.25 to -.375 deg., and I still get wear, but it is acceptable.
If you are not a real aggresive driver, and you want better tire wear, you can probably get by with 0 deg. camber.

If the front inside wear is excessive it could also be that you have too much toe out. Have the alignment checked, they are often out of spec from the factory. As far as -3/4 degree to -1.2 degree camber, if you corner your car hard you'll wear the outside edge out faster than the inside edge anyway. I go through my fronts at twice the rate of the rears and it is the outside edge that wears out first from some lateral g fun.
