New Z06 and !CAGS install
I cannot get my floor jack up under the car enough to reach the jack points listed in the manual. Can I jack from the jacking point behind the front wheel, without a "jacking puck"? I do have a rubber padded jack plate, so marring is not an issue.
Is there any other place I can jack from, to get to the trans? Also, where is the best place to put the jack stands?
Any advice?
Chris

Don't forget that the trans is in the rear on these puppies. I haven't tried it (I've got a kwiklift) but it looks like you should be able to get a floor jack under the rear end...

You can place your jack under the rear crossmember assembly to jack up high enough to place jackstands at thier respective points on either side of the rear just ahead of the rear wheels. This technique will not hurt the car but be careful crawling under there!

One more question... Can I jack up just one corner of the car and rest the jackstand on the shipping holes, or do I need to support the whole front end. Also, do you guys recommend the jacking pucks, or can I just set the stand right on the metal?

You might think this is a wild idea, but it worked great for me.
Forget the jack completely. Drive around until you find a place that you can drive over a deep enough trough in the ground that you can crawl under the car. I found a drainage culvert(dry). Installation took less than 5 minutes, not including the 5 minutes it took to find the culvert.
Done. Very easy.
