Default Z06 Stripes

Hi, this is my 1st post. I've got a 2006 yellow Z06 and I want to put either a single stripe or dual stripes down the middle of the hood an roof. What is the best way of going about this? Should I get it painted or use vinyl stickers? If stickers, where can I get them done? I want black!

Thanks,
Mitch

If you buy them from MIke at Corvette stripes he will (for 50 bucks) Put the stripes on a template so the stripes will be all lined up. All you have to do is get them straight in front and back and all the lines will be dead on.

Installation is not as hard as you think... its a thin mylar type material like a decal.

You basically use some soapy water in a spray bottle, spray the entire hood and decal, apply, move the decal where you want it (you've got plenty of time as long as you keep it wet), get it lined up right, use a squeegee to remove excess moisture and air bubbles, dry with a towel and you're done.

Best looking aftermarket stripe job I've seen was on an '02 Electron Blue Z with a painted white Grandsport style stripe running from the front bumper to the back bumper. He also had the GS red hash marks on the left fender and a red interior. Loved it! I always thought that same stripe/scheme would look awesome in black on a yellow Vette.

Vinyl is not final. Paint is for life.
Have fun and post pics

Definitely don't paint them on.... I passed on two vettes that were nice deals because they had painted stripes. Vinyl is the way to go and take them off before you take pictures.

I have to agree with hpfiend the painted on stripes will effect the resale of the car. Defenitly something to consider . [/I]

The stripes on all the cars shown look really good! I like the Flat Black stripes on the Yellow Vette, Flat Black and Glossy Yellow look really good together!!! Thanks a lot, once I get them done, I will definitely show some pictures!! Unless I do a crappy job, then I'll just say I decided not to do it! HAHA! Thanks a lot! Mitch
