Once you have the proper supplies, its up to you to call every decent welder in your town till somebody will do it....or maybe you'll get lucky and find a guy who has welded titanium before...like i did

From what I've reasearched this is a nice mod but, in my experience, it wasn't exactly inexpensive--the welding that is. I purchased the materials (Ti 1.687 OD x .045 tubing) did all the fabrication of the bypass tubes, cut the holes in my stock pipes and prepped everything. Dropped it all off at the welders, called them this morning and the damages are $170.00 !! I know welding titanium is supposedly an 'art' but I thought this was a little expensive considering all they used was a few rods and some argon gas. Whatever.
I haven't picked the exhaust up yet but if it turned out well and its as good a mod as everyone (thats done it) says it is then I should be happy. I guess, compared to an aftermarket system, this should be a deal since I've got about $ 200.00 total in it. We'll see.

I'm lucky, We have a weld shop where I work and our guys are all certified aerospace welders. Titanium when welded properly is a purdy weld.

The exhaust sounds much better at idle (its crisper, a little louder and you can hear a bit of the stock cams lope) and its wicked at WOT. Big improvement and well worth the trouble and cost IMO

Here are a few links to pics of the process which are really no different than any other of the bypass pics I've seen. I wouldn't say these are pretty welds but they will do.

If you want to see "proper" Ti welds just look at the stock exhaust system. I was told that its very difficult to weld because you need to keep all contact points free of any contaminants and completely purged with Argon.
