Default Please Help ! Changing Diff. Fluid

Could someone who has changed the 75W-90 Fully Synthetic Axle Lubricant in their ZO6 please help me with a question.

When replacing the rear diff. axle lubricant using AC DELCO 75W-90 Fully Synthetic, GM Part No. 89021677, do you need to add the 4 oz. of the Anti-Slip Additive as well? I have a 2003 ZO6.

When I asked the GM Technition at the Chevrolet dealership he told me that since I was using the Fully Synthetic Fluid that I did not need to add the anti-slip additive.

Could someone please give me the correct info. on this matter and the GM Part No. of the additive if I do in fact need it.

Thank You in advance for all your help,

If it says L S on the bottle you don`t need the additive, If not, then you need to add it.

Regardless if the diff fluid has additive add the 4 OZ additive just for good measure!

That's what I did...I used RP synthetic and I still added the GM limited slip additive, even though it was stated as unnecessary. Cheap insurance IMO...

Like Dennis said, if it says LS on the bottle, don't add the GM friction modifier. Go buy the Royal Purple synthetic gear oil for the diff, and the Syncromax trans oil for the trans.
