Halltech's all new Venom II
Some of the features of the Venom II: The new high flow Killer Bee II filter is used on the Venom II, made by K&N specifically for the Halltech Killer Bee II and Venom II line.
The Killer Bee II made +15 HP/14 lbs-ft more power than the stock GM LS7 AIS on the Katech Engine Development Dyno cell.
The bridge for the Venom II is made in the same mold as the Killer Bee II.
You have two options for your C5.
Venom II is the Killer Bee II which utilizes the stock MAF, comes with our laminar flow honeycomb screen, and requires no tuning at all.
Killer Bee II is identical to the LS3/LS7 version seen on the Katech Street Attack builds, with the new probe MAF sensor and a full 102.5mm MAF read area. It comes with the wire conversion pigtail harness for plug and play, and the LS7 MAF sensor. Tuning with the Halltech SCT X3 e-mailtuneŽ is required but is optional. You may already have a tuner, in which case, we make the MAF code available for no additional charge.

The answer is yes and yes but. Yes, if your C5 is fully modified and has our old Stinger or Venom I with the crappy Delphi 85 MAF sensor.
The new flow numbers are enough to put our 13:1 Alky 429 Katech Motor well over 700 HP.
Yes, but if your C5 is stock, you need to look at the benefits vs. cost. Sticking with the Venom II and the stock MAF is the way to go. You will still see very significant gains.
GM High Performance Mag sponsored a dyno at ECS a couple years ago, and saw +36.5 RWHP with our first generation Venom over the stock intake.
My feeling is that something was wrong with the initial pulls, as those kinds of gains are usually limited to tuning and intake. ECS stated that they did not tune the C5, so we just have to take the numbers as they were produced.
The Venom II is a big improvement over the Venom I, and the Killer Bee II the ultimate bolt on.
