^^^^ Congrats. that there is an 11 second pass in there. Those tires are more than capable to put down a much better 60' on a well prepped track. Keep us posted.

Also posted this on the drag racing section...
First off, I'd like to thank Gary, Robz and many others for specific help to me, and their general knowledge contribution to the forum. It's been a great resource...
Next, I deliberated ET Streets vs Hoosier DR's for a good bit, and was dead set on ET Streets, but happened to get a great direct from Hoosier ($138/tire), so I figured the money savings would at least get me more seat time on the track
I started with my 60' right at 2.0 at the beginning of the day. Wasn't do near enough burnout and had the tire pressure high. As I made more passes I lowered the pressure from ~ 22psi hot to 16psi hot with a 4000 rpm launch, which ended up going up to 45-4800 the last two passes.
It hooked like all hell the last two passes. Even flipped the passenger floor mat over (I've never been in a car that pulled a 60' that low so it's pretty awesome and violent!) but shook the battery loose and cut power. Thought I had it tied up but it did it again the last pass so I decided I'd had my share of attempts in the hot weather...
I can't wait to go for broke next time out and try to break in to the top ten on the fast list. I'm gonna wait until better weather to go again, and will try to start where I left off, at roughly 16-18 psi, 4500 rpm, and a similar clutch release. It took me 11 or 12 passes before I got the fast time...
I really wish someone was with me to take some vids... Next time for sure! One guy said it "looked" like the Hoosiers were wrinkling some.
And to the car:

What psi are you guys running those at btw? They say 35psi max on them but there's no way... I had them up in the 40-45 range I believe?? And they still looked like they could use a little more air honestly.
4500-4800rpm launch w/pretty quick let out
2nd at 6500-6600
3rd ~ 6700
4th as close to the rev limiter as possible to overcome the big rpm drop. I tried 4th earlier and it resulted in about the same ET and same mph.
Of 15 passes, 3 were throw aways, 11 were in the 118mph range and one was 119mph.

Oh yeah It makes sense logically, but it's still quite astonishing how much less resistance you feel when even cruising through a parking lot with them on.

At the end of the day I was following this pretty religiously, but trying to go up with rpm and quicker off the clutch. Unfortunately I never got to find the "too far" end. I was trying to go up a few hundred rpm or a little quicker off the clutch each pass. Ran out of time tho...:

when my car was tuned (previous owner) they left the rev limiiter at 6500 i'm going to be doing H/C/I thinking about raising it I guess see what the dyno chart shows

I could not launch that high, the car is fighting me on a burnout as soon as i apply the brake the engine just pulls power (yeah traction off) I've been reading about antipowerhop algorithm but not sure if thats my problem?
