Default C4 ZR1 Wheels On a C5 Z

Anyone have pictures of a C5 Z with C4 ZR1 wheels. They're 17X9.5 fronts - same as the Z but, they're 17X11 rears. That extra 1/2" should be legal for SCCA "stock" autocross class. Also, they're nice looking wheels but, I'm having trouble envisioning how they would look on the Z. I've searched a few times but, don't seem to be able to get posts on the C4 ZR1 wheels instead of the C6 ZR1.

I've seen it before, the ZR1 wheels seem dated looking on a C5 to me but that is totally just my opinion

Here are photos of my Z06 with C4 ZR1 wheels. I only bought the two for the rear since i use this wheels as my drag wheels. They are 17X11 with 315/35 Hoosier tires. I get plenty of compliments and always get told to buy the front ones and then lower it. lol

You may be right - that's why I wanted to see some pictures. But, like TorchZ06, I'm primarily interested in a set of wheels for autocross and the 17/11 rears would give me an additional 1/2" in width - legal for SCCA.

Thanks

They would make good track wheels, I think my problem with them is that I've had several sets and you kinda get wore out with somethings after so long

I'm wanting to see too. Soon I will be starting to race autocross and I have been told that the ZR-1 wheel (4) 17x11 with 54mm 50mm I believe is a sick setup.

I'm pretty sure you do need the 50mm on the back which was used on the grandsport.

I may have to go with some other wheels for DD and use the stock wheels with bigger tires for autocross. Actually, I have a set of stock 18/19 that came off my 08 Z51. I saw a picture in the 2000+ posts on "C5 Z06 pictures sticky" with those wheels and, they don't look too bad. I don't know about the off-set so, will have to try them and see how they fit.

It looks like I can go up to 285/17 and 315/18 on the stock C5 Z06 wheels without any trouble.

A real ZR-1 rear wheel will probably stick out way to far due to the offset. The C4 GS wheel as shown in the picture above in this thread looks like it sticks out a little.

I dont personally like it but to each his own ...

@ Dakota Slim....Very nice! How did you come across the wheels? Is there any advantage of those wheels compared to other style vette wheels that would fit? I mean besides all of them being 17"?

Default Wheels

The guy i bought the track car from had a set of C4 ZR1 wheels. I bought them from him. I like 17" all the way around and with the ZR1 wheel, I could go with wider tires. 315's on rear and 275 on front. Would like to find another set of used ones for track to mount spare set of tires in case I blow one out or need to switch to a rain tire.
