Y'all are making it really hard for me to decide! A month ago I was set on the 1 7/8 AR but now the OBX/XS Power are tempting.

I'm not going to knock anyone else's product; however, comparing dyno graphs does not mean that you will obtain the best performance. All dyno's are different as stated by other members. I can tell you that we put down 532 HP on a ECS's Dynapac and 477 HP on Tune Time's Mustang dyno. (These pulls were corrected and literally made a couple days apart.) You should compare products for fit, finish, price, paper results and most importantly, track results. We can tell you that the FASTEST N/A Vettes all run ARHs.
Robz's 346 C5Z ran 1 7/8" ARHs.
Robz's 388 C5Z runs ARHs.
Our Bolt-On C5Z ran 1 7/8" ARHs.
Our Bolt-On C6Z runs 1 7/8" ARHs.
Fartpipe's Bolt-On C6Z runs 1 7/8" ARHs.
Sebast19x Bolt-On C6Z runs 1 7/8" ARHs.
Just food for thought.

Bone stock 358/350

Add LG Pro Long Tube Headers with Cat's, Vararam, B&B Bullets, Air Bridge.

After the above I got 390/380.

Add LG G5X1E cam, AFR 205 heads (59cc), UD Pulley, Shanner polished TB, 160 stat,

After the above I got 448/432.

All on the same Dyno at LG's.

True... I should know a lot about being heartbroken by dyno numbers. lol I had a stalled A4 that was horrible on the dyno but quick on the street. Surprisingly I've heard a lot of positive things concerning the OBX headers. I recently had the chance to speak to a former LSx shop owner that we all know of (would rather not disclose) and he STRONGLY suggested the 1 7/8 header for the LSx cars. Brian Tooley @ TEA even said that with the stock 2.00/1.55 valves work well with the bigger primaries and DO NOT lose power on the low end. Even though I have this knowledge, it's tough to justify spending $1400 on headers when my Pacesetters on my Z28 were great. Can we really feel a 5-10hp difference? I probably can't... that money could be spent on the dyno tune! With this same logic, the TSP mild steel ceramic coated headers are an option too. If there were 1 7/8 headers that were made by OBX or TSP I'd already have them.

Brian is a great guy who knows his stuff. We went with the 1 7/8" years ago after I spoke with Nick. If we decided to go H/C, the 1 7/8" would be perfect. The 1 7/8" were untested on Bolt-On only LS6 motors. Conventional wisdom said that the larger tubes would lose low end TQ. We felt that they would work and they performed admirably. On the street, low end power was great. On the track, the results speak for themselves. With our goals in mind, we wanted the best we could put together, hence, ARHs. Price should be considered based on your goals but make sure you can live with your decision. Having to make a change later will cost more in the long run.
Good luck with your build.

03 ZO6, double cone intake, Carbon Fiber Speed hump, Stainlessworks 1 7/8 long tube headers with cats and crosspipe, Tune, and the stock Ti exhuast.

SAE corrected 380.9 HP 361.9 ft-lbs

In comparison on other C5's and C5 ZO6's dune on the same dyno I am on the higher end of things for cars with similar mods.

If you do have aftermarket headers, please specify primary size as well. FWIW I will get the 1 7/8 ARH's if I do buy headers.

I might be moving back to CA and if I get a good idea what tuned cars are putting out I may just save my money and not buy long tube headers and avoid smog all together. I've already had a 478whp '98 Z28 would like to keep my '02 C5Z fairly stock.

I got a 72 Stingray, with LS7 in it. It makes 545 hp

First off, the only smoke you eat is the rubber from my stock Z in front of your '72. You'd be a god if you had a LS7!

Sell your '72 and buy a newer Vette and forget about doing the engine swap. Just an idea...

Yours is a lot cleaner than this... http://www.usedcorvettesforsale.com/...tte-38878.html

Notice most people say thier numbers are from a low reading dyno or are relatively high in comparison to other similar cars done on the same dyno.

For the record: My car underperforms most other cars with similar mods on most dyno's. I think I may have been the first to say that.

Taking the Z to get the new tires mounted and balanced right now. I'll drive the '72 and you can drive mine!
