Mine is cracked as well (02 Z). I placed I placed something in the channel and siliconed the crack. I then pulled out the material from the channel. ZERO issues.

Moldings (Same as above)
10331562
10331563
Weatherstripping
10333467
10333568
I am having both sides done at the same time, so I am not exactly sure what the number is to what side without looking into it, but you can call(912)267-7000. This stuff was not cheap and I know that Gene Culley can get the moldings cheaper for us, but I wanted to order it all from the same place and Nalley was the place that could accommodate.

So does anyone have pics? Both of mine were cracked and replaced by dealer where I bought the car, and ever since I have leaks down both front door sills and near the passenger side roof. Going back next week. Would sure like to show the tech where to put that sealant!

Driver's side cracked on mine. Dealer quoted me the following:
Molding part# 10331563: $208.50
Weatherstripping part# 10333467: $424.05
Total price with labor: $716.46
They did tell me that replacing weatherstripping might not be necessary if the original one can be removed without damage.
Might go with the silicone method somebody posted about.

I heard mine crack the day it happened driving up into my steep driveway at a sever angle to keep the front bumper from scraping. It is my belief the roof flexes and this hard plastic isn't flexable enough to survive.

Day late and a dollar short. I'm in the process of doing this project and I have a thread around here with my adhesive findings.
So, as I'm reading this and understand it:
Weather strip $424.05
Reveal Molding $208.50
Labor $ 83.91
total $716.46
In the grand scheme it's a great price. My dealer list price for reveal molding is $288 and I've seen weather strip from $300 to $400 on line. and $83 is about one hour. Man, I can't order parts in a hour.
As always, seeking info on this fun project

Both sides on mine cracked in the same exact spot. But because of the place they cracked it looks like it came that way from the factory even though I know they didn't. I will eventually replace mine

I bought my '04 in Oct '11 with just shy of 17k on it and it had always been garaged and both were cracked with the drivers side dry rotting.
I've called several dealers and they all quoted me the prices listed above as well.

Question. Are these trim pieces formed properly and follow the contours of the car before they are installed? Or do they have to be stressed and bent to follow the body lines? I was wondering if using a heat gun while installing might reduce some of the residual stress in the plastic. Maybe that would preclude it from happening again.

I am in the process of replacing my driver side reveal molding. It cracked in the usual spot that it does on every Hardtop and Z06.
I took photo's of the removal process.
I am waiting for the side reveal molding to arrive. Cheapest price I could find these days was $136 plus shipping (online). I also bought the tube of GM weatherstrip adhesive part #12345097.
On the long curved metal weatherstrip bracket, there is a strip of what looks like 1-inch wide acrylic single-side black tape. I can't seem to find where to buy that. Is that where everyone is using the dumb dumb rope? (3M 08578). This tape is between the metal piece and the plastic side reveal molding.
I think I found a few possible causes of the crack:
1. It gets really hot where I live and this black plastic faces up toward the sun. When I got back from the Mojave desert I noticed the crack.
2. The screw holes don't allow it to expand and contract at that point where it cracked. (I may slightly enlarge one screw hole in the new plastic to allow minor thermal expansion so it won't crack again in the same spot).
3. The factory installed black adhesive where it meets the top of the windshield ends right where the crack starts on the plastic. (I think I will apply adhesive to the whole top section when I put it back on).

1) Rope caulk is next to soft foam molding.
2) $136 is a great price where did you get it???
3)GM 12345097 is actually Permatex Super Black weatherstrip adhehisve.
4) Next will be weatherstrip? How did you get it off without damage?

2)I ordered #10331563 from gmpartsdirect.com. It wasn't the best price after all. When you add their shipping and handling the total came to $172.04. (I actually found another site later that charges just a few dollars more for the part, but their shipping was the actual UPS ground cost of only $12 so they would have ended up being less overall. I think that site was gmpartseast.com.) I don't know if GM is back-ordered, but my part hasn't even shipped yet.
3) I just bought GM 12345097 because the repair manual listed it and the cost was the same.
4)I very carefully removed the weatherstrip with my fingers. I began by plucking the 2 plastic rivets out of the front of the weatherstrip under the windshield and the 2 plastic rivets out of the back by the door latch. I peeled it up from the weatherstrip adhesive just using my fingers. Beware of an additional hidden plastic rivet inside the rubber as you begin to pull. I pulled it out of the groove in the metal bracket with a small flat screw driver being very patient and working my way around.
