Took the intake manifold off to install an insulated heat shield between the bottom of it and the valley cover. Also, cleaned all the crude that has accumulated there in the last 15 years.
I also took off the underhood insulation and cleaned under there. Quite a lot of debris collects there.

[QUOTE=nvusgt;1595249616]Finally got around to washing it. Between the rain and other house duties, I just hadn't got around to it, so nearly two months worth of caked on bugs, dirt and tar. I hate that I let it get that dirty but I suppose it happens when you daily commute 50miles.
Very nice nvusgt!

19x10.5 - 275/30
19x11.5 - 305/30
not sure on the backspacing as I got them used, but they're pretty flush with the fender. Actually the tire given the width does poke just a tad, but it's not anything that detracts from the overall appearance.
Thank you
Thanks I really appreciate it.
Mods have def been a slow and steady process, but it's certainly been worth the wait and I'm almost done with the exterior. I'm currently waiting on these headlights, eta two more weeks. Can't wait!

Have had the all too common lifter tap in my 2002 Z06 since I got it (and I wanted to do a bit of an engine refresh). So I tore the engine down yesterday, replaced the lifters, added ARP head bolts. The car is almost at 95,000 miles and the cylinders still looked good with nice crosshatching and no wear that I could see. I finished putting everything back together today. Crossed my fingers and turned her over. Started right up, ran good and engine is much quieter. No lifter tap; just the sound of normal valve train operation. Awesome.

Today I finished up changing my windshield wiper switch. Wipers were on all the time regardless of switch position. Symptoms are gone now and everything I had to unplug during the repair is functioning properly, so I suppose I succeeded

Had the car and rims coated with Opticoat Pro ceramic coating. Also had lower section between the wheels covered in invisible seamless plastic coated with Opticoat Pro leaving it well protected (the rock throwing machine the z06 is).
15 days no wash and looks as good as the profile picture. Rims were a curse to keep clean and now effortless.

I did something I hate doing and try to avoid, paid someone else to work on my car. If I hadn't though it still wouldn't be done, and probably wouldn't be for a long time. That said so far I think Kyle at Scram did a great job and I am very happy with the results. He put in a Monster LT1S clutch, Tick master, Pfadt engine mounts, Kooks headers and x pipe, LG tt couplers, and new plugs and wires. He also tuned her to 420 rwhp. Not bad, not bad at all!
