Well today I opened up the driver side valve cover, there are certainly no yellow oem valve springs in this engine, question is what are they? And should they be replaced?
I will be doing the trunion upgrade for sure.

my 02 had those bare metal springs with a small orange dot in various places
they don't seem to be common, i replaced them with new GM blues just to be safe
for 65 bucks it seemed insane not to

Yah, these have random orange dots on them also. I will go ahead an replace them with the GM blue springs.
